જ્યારે આપણે રસ્તા પર નીકળીએ છીએ તો અનેકવાર પ્રવાસીઓ તેમજ ઓટોચાલકો વચ્ચે લડાઈ ચાલતી હોય એવા દ્રશ્યો જોવા મળે છે. જોકે હાલમાં હૈદરાબાદમાં એક એવા ઓટોચાલકની વાત વાઇરલ થઈ રહી છે જે તમારો દૃષ્ટિકોણ બદલી દેશે. વૃજાશ્રી વેણુગોપાલ મામની યુવતીએ પોતાના ફેસબુક પેજ પર આ ઓટોવાળાની સ્ટોરી પોસ્ટ કરી છે. આ પોસ્ટમાં કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે કે વૃજાશ્રી વેણુગોપાલ વિસાનો ઇન્ટરવ્યૂ દેવા માટે હૈદરાબાદ આવી હતી. અહીં તેને એકાએક 5000 રૂ.ની જરૂર પડી ગઈ હતી પણ એ સમયે તેની પાસે 2,000 રૂ. જ હતા.
પૈસા માટે વૃજાશ્રીએ અનેક એટીએમમાં તપાસ કરી પણ તેને નિરાશા જ મળી. તે અનેક દુકાનદારો પાસે પણ ગઈ અને કાર્ડ સ્વેપ કરીને પૈસા દેવાનો આગ્રહ કર્યો પણ તેને ત્યાંથી ખાલી હાથે જ પરત થવું પડ્યું હતું. એક તબક્કે તેને એમ લાગ્યું હતું કે તેણે કદાચ પાસપોર્ટ બનાવ્યા વગર ખાલી હાથે જ પરત થવું પડશે.
આ ઘટનાક્રમથી વૃજાશ્રી બહુ હતાશ થઈ ગઈ હતી અને એ વાત તેના ચહેરા પર દેખાતી હતી. આ સમયે એક ઓટોવાળો મદદગાર તરીકે તેની પાસે આવ્યો. ફેસબુક પોસ્ટમાં વૃજાશ્રીએ ઓટોચાલકને બાબા કહીને સંબોધ્યો છે. વૃજાશ્રીએ લખ્યું છે કે બાબા સાથે મારી કોઈ ઓળખાણ નહોતી પણ આમ છતાં તેમણે પોતાની બચતમાંથી 3000 રૂ. મારી સામે મૂકી દીધા હતા.

This is Baba, an auto driver in Hyderabad. Baba saved my day. I was here for a visa interview, and short of cash by a couple of thousands. I needed around 5000 for the visa fees and had just 2000 and odd. We visited about 10 to 15 ATM centres, without any luck. Seemed like there was a strange problem with all ATMs in Hyderabad. I even requested a few stores with ATM machines, if they could swipe my card and give me cash, but in vain. Baba senses my helplessness and offers me 3000 out of his savings and says ‘Madam aap isko use karlo aur baad mein hotel ke paas vapas kardo, koi baat nahin’. I was overwhelmed by his act of kindness and was full of gratitude for this man that I never met before. He selflessly helped a total stranger. I was moved. Yes, God manifests in the most strangest and beautiful ways. A new life lesson learnt everyday! I am honoured to find a friend in you, Baba. Thank you for reminding me that humanity is the greatest religion of all.
